BizHawk 2.11 has been released! Yes, it runs Doom. BizHawk 2.11 features three new cores:
  • DSDA-Doom, for Doom, Heretic and Hexen
    • Warning: Analog Weapon Selection does not work at all! Wait for 2.11.1!
  • DOSBox-X, for DOS
  • Opera, for 3DO
It also contains a huge number of fixes, improvements, and updates to other cores and aspects of BizHawk.

Inspired by the recent thread by Memory discussing possible TASVideos content, I have decided to host a new type of site hosted event. The TASVideos TAS Jam is about making a TAS with a given theme, with the goal of completing a TAS during the event time. Everyone is welcome to join in, whether you're a newcomer who wants to learn how to make a TAS, a seasoned author who wants to expand their horizons, or anywhere else in their TAS production skills. Please check out the event's forum thread for more details and consider joining in. The deadline to submit to the TAS Jam is 30 June 2025 at 11:59 PM UTC.
The current Pokémon: Yellow Version speed record uses heavy glitches that allow the player to catalog every Pokémon in slightly over a minute. Is there any way to get more ridiculous than that? Yes! In this run, using nothing but the Game Boy buttons and tool-assisted precision, the game is made to run an arbitrary program which greatly expands the game and shows off cool stuff from elsewhere too. For details on how this was achieved, see the author's comments.
This movie improves upon the predecessor by using a payload which builds upon the environment in the game highlighting new areas, new Pokémon, and shows off a lot more that can be done with arbitrary code execution than displaying the digits of Pi and some minor animation.
